Drafting the Hydrant Valve is a focused workspace for documenting historic municipal hydrant fittings and examining their hydraulic characteristics.
The app brings fitting specifications, valve geometry, archival notes, pressure values, and head-loss calculations together in a single local workspace.
Use the Ledger to create and review fitting entries.
A fitting record can contain identification details, district information, foot valve and operating nut specifications, barrel geometry, pressure values, notes, tags, and an attached photo plate.
Records can be searched and filtered from the Ledger, then opened individually for review or editing.
The Head-Loss section uses fitting specifications and hydraulic inputs to show simulated pressure behavior.
You can work from a saved fitting or enter available values manually. The simulator displays the hydraulic grade line together with calculated valve, friction, sleeve, and outlet-pressure values.
The simulation works entirely within the app and does not connect to municipal water systems or external infrastructure.
The section view provides a labeled cutaway of the selected fitting so its main structural components and specifications can be examined together.
The Logbook provides an overview of saved fitting records, simulation readiness, valve styles, and other technical summaries derived from the records stored in the app.
No account or login is required.
Fitting records, measurements, notes, calculation inputs, and attached images remain stored locally on the device. Drafting the Hydrant Valve does not use advertising, analytics, user tracking, or cloud synchronization.
